Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-0538)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted GIF file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-0661)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing RGB files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted RGB file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-0537)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing RGB files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted RGB file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-0536)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing GIF files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted GIF file, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

5) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-0660)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing GIF files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted GIF file, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

6) Insecure DLL loading (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-0662)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to the application loads DLL libraries in an insecure manner. A remote attacker can place a specially crafted .dll file on a remote SMB fileshare, trick the victim into opening a file, associated with the vulnerable application, and execute arbitrary code on the victim's system.
