Description

This security bulletin contains information about 17 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-55163)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources when handling HTTP/2 requests. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-62727)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP Range header that triggers quadratic-time processing in Starlette's FileResponse Range parsing/merging logic and cause denial of service conditions.


3) Exposure of Resource to Wrong Sphere (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-49574)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when duplicating a duplicated context. A remote user can gain access to sensitive information, such as request scope, security details, and metadata.


4) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-6985)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.


5) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-6984)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure XML parsing in the EverNoteLoader component. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious XML payload that references local files, potentially exposing sensitive data such as /etc/passwd.


6) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-4218)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to some files with xml content are parsed vulnerable against all sorts of XXE attacks. A local user can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted XML code and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.


7) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-9230)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when trying to decrypt CMS messages encrypted using password based encryption. A remote attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability requires that password based (PWRI) encryption support in CMS messages is enabled. 


8) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59343)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to symlink validation bypass if the destination directory is predictable with a specific tarball. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.


9) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-66034)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing .designspace files in fontTools.varLib. A remote attacker can trick the victim into passing a specially crafted file and overwrite arbitrary files on the system.


10) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-58057)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in BrotliDecoder and some other decompressing decoders. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


11) Heap Inspection (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-33101)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper clearing of heap memory. A remote attacker can obtain sensitive information using man in the middle techniques.


12) Uncontrolled Recursion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-48924)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the methods ClassUtils.getClass(...) can throw StackOverflowError on very long inputs. Because an Error is usually not handled by applications and libraries, a StackOverflowError could cause an application to stop. A remote attacker can trigger uncontrolled recursion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


13) Use of hard-coded credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-33089)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information or perform unauthorized actions on the vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to presence of hard-coded credentials in application code. A remote unauthenticated attacker can obtain sensitive information or perform unauthorized actions on the affected system using the hard-coded credentials.


14) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-36243)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote user to perform SSRF attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.


15) Use of a broken or risky cryptographic algorithm (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-43178)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to decrypt highly sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to IBM Concert using weaker-than-expected cryptographic algorithms. A remote attacker can decrypt highly sensitive information on the system.


16) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-36018)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.


17) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-36019)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
