This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-41117)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in Explore Traces view. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
Note, only datasources with the Jaeger HTTP API are affected.
2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21722)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to the application does not limit their annotation timerange to the locked timerange of the public dashboard with annotations enabled. A remote attacker can read the entire history of annotations visible on the specific dashboard, even those outside the locked timerange.
