Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.

1) Excessive Iteration (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-62707)

CWE-ID: CWE-834 - Excessive Iteration

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Amber

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive iteration. A remote attacker can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop. This requires parsing the content stream of a page which has an inline image using the DCTDecode filter.

2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-62708)

CWE-ID: CWE-400 - Resource exhaustion

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources within the LZWDecode filter. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted PDF file to the application, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
