The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the parent_dmemcs(), alloc_pool_single(), get_cg_pool_locked(), dmem_cgroup_unregister_region(), dmemcg_get_region_by_name(), get_cg_pool_unlocked(), dmem_cgroup_uncharge(), dmem_cgroup_try_charge() and dmemcg_limit_write() functions in kernel/cgroup/dmem.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
