Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-28890)
The vulnerability allows a local application to perform a denial of service attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in otool. A local application can trigger memory corruption and crash the system.
2) Improper privilege management (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-28889)
The vulnerability allows a local application to read arbitrary files on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper privilege management in the Simulator. A local application can read arbitrary files with root privileges.
