Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Acceptance of Extraneous Untrusted Data With Trusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-30192)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cache poisoning attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to an error in ECS implementation. A remote attacker can spoof answers to ECS enabled requests sent out by the Recursor.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59030)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of incoming notifies over TCP. A remote attacker can send specially crafted requests to the DNS server and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-59029)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources in cache management when handling DNS queries with with qtype ANY. A remote attacker can send specially crafted request to the DNS server and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
