1) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-23430)
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in the vmwgfx KMS surface dirty tracker when handling surface dirty tracking. A local user can trigger the vulnerable behavior to cause a denial of service.
The issue is caused by overwriting the surface's dirty tracker, resulting in resource consumption.
