The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in read_object when parsing malformed PDF objects. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted PDF to cause a denial of service.

The issue can trigger an infinite loop that blocks the current process and can consume a single CPU core at 100%.
