Description
This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the User Editor within Login Name field. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Missing Authorization (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote atacker to bypass authorization process.
The vulnerability exists due to missing object-level authorization in the "GET /api/person/{personId} API". A remote user can read the records of other families and unrelated individuals.
3) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to an error when processing authentication requests in the /api/public/user/login endpoint. A remote attacker can bypass the 2FA and account lockout checks.
4) SQL injection (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the "FinancialService::getMemberByScanString()" function. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
5) Arbitrary file upload (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of file during file upload in the database backup restore functionality. A remote administrator can upload a malicious file and execute it on the server.
6) Observable Response Discrepancy (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to differential response in Public Login API. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
7) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Pledge Editor within Donation Comment field. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
8) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin in SelectDelete.php. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
