Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-26284)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in pcd decoder. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and gain acces to sensitive information or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-28690)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the MNG encoder. A remote attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
