SB2026042316 - Multiple vulnerabilities in nats-server

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-29785)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within leafnode port. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-27889)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in wsRead. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger integer overflow and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
