The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in damon_sysfs_repeat_call_fn when handling sysfs updates to nr_contexts while DAMON is running. A local user can write 0 to the nr_contexts sysfs entry to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires access to the DAMON sysfs interface.
