1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-25061)

CWE-ID: CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds write

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds write in WifiPacket::parse_elements() in src/wifipcap/wifipcap.cpp when parsing a crafted 802.11 management frame TIM element. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted frame to cause a denial of service.

The affected structure is stack-allocated in handle_beacon() and related handlers, and the overwrite can write 1 byte past tim.bitmap[251].
