1) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-31808)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an infinite loop in the ASF file type detection parser when parsing a crafted ASF input with a zero-size sub-header. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted 55-byte payload to cause a denial of service.

The issue can stall the Node.js event loop while processing untrusted or attacker-controlled input.
