This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.


1) Authorization bypass through user-controlled key (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-24178)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to authorization bypass through user-controlled key in NVFlare Dashboard. A remote attacker can gain elevated privilege on the system.


2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-24186)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data in FOBS. A remote user can send a specially crafted FOBS-encoded message and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


3) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-24204)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote user can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
