The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in the RAS initialization logic when SMU is disabled during initialization. A local user can trigger the vulnerable initialization path to cause a denial of service.
Only systems where SMU is disabled are affected.
