The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in amdgpu_userq_wait_ioctl when handling user-supplied input values. A local user can supply excessively large input values to cause a denial of service.
The issue can result in an out-of-memory condition.
