The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in btrfs_map_block() when handling invalid block mapping states after calling btrfs_chunk_map_num_copies(). A local user can trigger an early -EINVAL return to cause a denial of service.
