The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in the xhci portli debugfs files when reading debugfs files. A local user can read a crafted portli debugfs file state to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs when xhci->max_ports exceeds the ports reported by Supported Protocol capabilities, including cases with gaps between ports of different speeds.
