1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-44774)

CWE-ID: CWE-284 - Improper Access Control

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized dynamic-configuration write access to Traefik.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the Kubernetes Gateway API provider TraefikService backend handling when processing tenant-controlled HTTPRoute backend references. A remote user can create or update an HTTPRoute that targets rest@internal to gain unauthorized dynamic-configuration write access to Traefik.

Exploitation requires the Kubernetes Gateway API provider and the REST provider to be enabled, with a shared Gateway that permits HTTPRoute attachment from an allowed tenant namespace.
