The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in pwmchip_alloc() error handling when initializing a PWM chip. A local user can trigger an initialization failure to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires reaching the affected initialization error path in the kernel PWM subsystem.
