CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the bpf program signature handling logic when processing a user-supplied signature size. A local user can provide an excessively large size value to cause a denial of service.

The issue can force the kernel into expensive allocation paths via kmalloc_large or vmalloc.
