The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free condition in the MediaTek clock gate definitions in the Linux kernel when accessing mtk_gate structures at runtime. A local user can trigger access to freed initialization data to cause a denial of service.
