1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-46272)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the coresight tmc-etr sysfs and perf mode handling in drivers/hwtracing/coresight/coresight-tmc-etr.c when enabling sysfs mode concurrently with perf mode. A local user can trigger concurrent sysfs and perf operations to cause a denial of service.

The issue can trigger a WARN_ON() in tmc_etr_enable_hw() when sysfs buffer allocation and hardware enablement occur in separate critical regions.
