Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 vulnerabilities.

1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-35255)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in Azure Identity Libraries and Microsoft Authentication Library. A local user can elevate privileges and read any file on the file system.

2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-24049)

CWE-ID: CWE-77 - Command injection

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in Azure Command Line Integration (CLI). A local attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with elevated privileges.

3) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-21226)

CWE-ID: CWE-502 - Deserialization of Untrusted Data

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data in Azure Core shared client library for Python. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-29483)

CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the Tudoor mechanism. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
