This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.

1) Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-50512)

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authentication for critical function in Microsoft PC Manager. A local user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-49161)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in Microsoft PC Manager. A local user can bypass the expected user access.

3) Link following (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-50511)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to an insecure link following issue in Microsoft PC Manager. A local user can create a specially crafted symbolic link to a critical file on the system and overwrite it with privileges of the application.
