The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the NTFS volume label ioctl handlers when processing concurrent FS_IOC_SETFSLABEL and FS_IOC_GETFSLABEL operations. A local user can trigger concurrent volume label set and get requests to cause a denial of service.
The issue arises from a race condition involving concurrent access to the volume label.
