The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper state management in nfsd4_revoke_states() when revoking layout states. A remote user can trigger layout state revocation to cause a denial of service.

The issue can cause the revocation logic to loop indefinitely and hang the revoker.
