The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource shutdown or release in xfrm policy namespace cleanup handlers when cleaning up network namespaces. A local user can repeatedly create and tear down network namespaces to cause a denial of service.
The issue can cause cleanup backlogs, excessive memory growth, and memcg OOM conditions on affected systems.
