Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.

1) Double free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-71131)

CWE-ID: CWE-415 - Double Free

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a double free error within the seqiv_aead_encrypt() function in crypto/seqiv.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-46054)

CWE-ID: CWE-284 - Improper Access Control

CVSSv4: 8.4 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to bypass SELinux access controls.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in SELinux overlayfs mmap() and mprotect() access checks when handling mmap() and mprotect() operations on overlayfs filesystems. A local user can map or change protections on an overlayfs file to bypass SELinux access controls.

3) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-52976)

CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in xe_exec_queue_create_ioctl() when handling crafted ioctl requests that trigger error cleanup paths. A local user can trigger queue creation failures to cause a denial of service.

One affected path leaves a freed queue linked in the VM compute exec queue list in preempt fence mode, and another leaves a freed queue linked in the hardware engine group list.
