Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 vulnerabilities.

1) Improper Control of Resource Identifiers ('Resource Injection') (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-62910)

CWE-ID: CWE-99 - Improper Control of Resource Identifiers ('Resource Injection')

CVSSv4: 8.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges.

The vulnerability exists due to improper control of resource identifiers ('resource injection') in Microsoft Exchange Server when handling network requests. A remote privileged user can send crafted requests to escalate privileges.

Successful exploitation could result in SYSTEM privileges.

2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-62912)

CWE-ID: CWE-502 - Deserialization of Untrusted Data

CVSSv4: 7.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to deserialization of untrusted data in Microsoft Exchange Server when handling network requests. A remote user can send crafted serialized data to cause a denial of service.

3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-62913)

CWE-ID: CWE-122 - Heap-based Buffer Overflow

CVSSv4: 8.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to heap-based buffer overflow in an affected Exchange service when handling specially crafted requests over the network. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to execute arbitrary code.

4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-62914)

CWE-ID: CWE-79 - Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')

CVSSv4: 5.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform spoofing.

The vulnerability exists due to improper neutralization of input during web page generation in Microsoft Exchange Server when rendering web pages. A remote user can inject a specially crafted payload to perform spoofing.

User interaction is required to view the crafted content.

5) Missing Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-62915)

CWE-ID: CWE-862 - Missing Authorization

CVSSv4: 7.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass a security feature.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization in Microsoft Exchange Server when handling requests to install mail add-ins. A remote user can send a crafted request to bypass a role-based restriction intended to control which users are allowed to install mail add-ins.

A successful exploit could allow installation of an add-in that requests elevated mailbox permissions that an administrator's policy was intended to prevent.

6) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-65813)

CWE-ID: CWE-918 - Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

CVSSv4: 7.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote user to elevate privileges.

The vulnerability exists due to server-side request forgery (ssrf) in Microsoft Exchange Server when handling network requests. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to elevate privileges.
