CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')
CVSSv4: 5.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in xe_bo_move() and VF CCS attach and detach handling when processing buffer object moves during VF migration. A local user can trigger a VF migration event while a copy job is in flight to cause a denial of service.
The issue affects virtual function CCS state handling during transitions between SYSTEM and TT memory, including cases where execution is paused mid-copy.
