1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-68316)

CWE-ID: CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds write

CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service or overwrite memory outside the intended buffer.

The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds write in the command stream validation logic in drivers/accel/ethosu/ethosu_gem.c when processing crafted command streams with 16/32/64-bit element sizes. A local user can submit a specially crafted command stream to cause a denial of service or overwrite memory outside the intended buffer.

The issue is caused by incorrect element size accounting for NHWC format and by using different element-size bitfields for IFM/IFM2 and OFM.
