1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-68265)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in the xe_vm.c BO prefetch handling for BO VMAs when processing a prefetch region of DRM_XE_CONSULT_MEM_ADVISE_PREF_LOC. A local user can trigger the vulnerable code path to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs because the value -1 is used as an index into region_to_mem_type[] for a BO VMA prefetch operation.
