This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-68165)

CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in damon_set_regions() when processing user-supplied DAMON monitoring target regions. A local user can provide empty regions with equal start and end values to cause a denial of service.

The issue can trigger WARN_ONCE() on kernels built with CONFIG_DAMON_DEBUG_SANITY enabled, and can also lead to a divide-by-zero in damon_merge_two_regions().
