Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Use of uninitialized resource (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-68119)

CWE-ID: CWE-908 - Use of Uninitialized Resource

CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to uninitialized memory in standalone TCP-AO response handling in tcp_v4_send_ack() and tcp_v6_send_response() when processing TCP responses with TCP-AO options whose MAC length is not four-byte aligned. A remote attacker can send packets that trigger standalone TCP responses to disclose sensitive information.

Only the one to three alignment padding bytes after the TCP-AO MAC are exposed, and the issue affects both IPv4 and IPv6 response paths.
