The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of a kernel assertion in the amdgpu sdma_v7_1 fence emission logic when processing a crafted fence address. A local user can trigger the BUG_ON condition to cause a denial of service.
