1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43680)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error caused by overeager destruction of a shared DTD in XML_ExternalEntityParserCreate. A remote attacker can trigger a use-after-free error and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to recursive XML Entity Expansion if XML_DTD is undefined at compile time. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input when using external parsers via XML_ExternalEntityParserCreate. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow within the doContent() function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted XML data to the application, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to an infinite loop in the DTD content parser when processing a specially crafted XML file. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in the function setContext in libexpat when processing XML input under low-memory conditions. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted XML file to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation requires repeated processing of malicious input following an initial out-of-memory condition.

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to BusyBox wget accepting raw CR (0x0D)/LF (0x0A) and other C0 control bytes in the HTTP request-target (path/query), allowing the request line to be split and attacker-controlled headers to be injected. A remote attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to the application.
