CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of a null page reference in kvm_s390_pci_aif_enable() in the KVM s390 PCI code when registering IRQs without a summary bit specified. A local user can request IRQ registration without an AISB to cause a denial of service.
The issue is triggered when a guest enables adapter interruption forwarding without specifying a summary bit.
