CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a slab out-of-bounds write in __netif_set_xps_queue in the ixgbe driver when loading an XDP program that configures XDP transmit queues. A local user can load an XDP program to trigger the out-of-bounds write and cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs on E610 adapters on systems with 64 or more CPUs when the last XDP queue is configured.
