CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in drm_gpusvm range creation in drivers/gpu/drm/drm_gpusvm.c when handling VMAs marked with VM_IO or VM_PFNMAP. A local user can trigger creation of an SVM range for such a VMA to cause a denial of service.
The issue can lead to repeated get_pages() failures and an infinite loop inside a driver's page-fault handler.
