1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-72486)

CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the mtk-adsp mailbox driver when handling a late interrupt during device teardown after a failed SOF audio driver initialization. A local attacker can trigger a failed probe condition that leaves the IRQ line active and cause a late interrupt to access freed memory to cause a denial of service.

The crash was observed after probe failure in the SOF audio driver initialization path.
