1) Double free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-72452)

CWE-ID: CWE-415 - Double Free

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a double free in intel_crtc_put_color_blobs()/intel_crtc_free_hw_state() when cleaning up a failed atomic state in the i915 display driver. A local user can trigger an atomic state failure that leads to repeated cleanup of the same CRTC hardware state to cause a denial of service.

The issue can occur if cleared state preparation exits early after a DP tunnel group state lookup failure, allowing the same blob references to be dropped more than once.
