Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-72444)
CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read
CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose uninitialized memory contents.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in __skb_flow_dissect() when processing packets on non-ethernet devices with flow dissector ethernet address matching enabled. A local user can send a crafted packet through AF_PACKET to disclose uninitialized memory contents.
Exploitation requires a TUN device in L3 mode together with a multiq qdisc and a flower filter matching on eth_src.
