The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource shutdown or release in radeon_ring_restore() when handling a failed ring lock during GPU reset. A local user can trigger repeated GPU resets that fail at the lock stage to cause a denial of service.

The issue leaks the ring backup buffer on each failed restore attempt, leading to cumulative kernel memory exhaustion during repeated GPU resets.
