1) Improper Initialization (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-74402)

CWE-ID: CWE-665 - Improper Initialization

CVSSv4: 4.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to obtain insufficiently random entropy.

The vulnerability exists due to improper buffer management in the atmel-sha204a hardware random number generator driver when reading random data from the device response buffer. A local user can read from /dev/hwrng to obtain insufficiently random entropy.

The issue affects both the blocking and non-blocking rng paths.
