The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of resident attributes in ntfs_map_runlist_nolock() when mounting a crafted NTFS image. A local user can supply a crafted NTFS image to cause a denial of service.

The issue is triggered during filesystem mount through the ntfs_fill_super path.
