Description
This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-72153)
CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read
CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds access in crossbar_domain_free() in the irqchip crossbar component when freeing IRQ domain mappings. A local user can trigger release of a crafted IRQ mapping state to cause a denial of service.
The issue can also leave the crossbar register connection to the source interrupt active because the wrong index is used for the irq_map entry and register update.
Remediation
Install update from vendor's website.
