The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in task BPF storage handling in copy_process() and free_task() when handling a fork operation that aborts before task BPF storage is initialized. A local user can trigger a failed fork from a process inserted into a task storage map to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.
Exploitation is reachable when the calling process has been inserted into a task storage map.
